Summer πŸƒπŸ»‍♀️Training

Figuring out my summer routine because I want to balance: heavy 🀘 lifting + running πŸƒπŸ»‍♀️ + HIIT work 🎯dancing πŸ’ƒπŸ» + dry spa πŸ§–‍♀️ ‘ing + recovery ❤️‍🩹 days + stretching/mobility work 🩰+ fight πŸ₯Š training because I enjoy all of these activities.

On Thursday I wanted to test myself and purposely overloaded my body to see how I would perform my sprints after a heavy lower body workout. I did this so I could baseline my sprint pace.

My body settled on a sub 7 minute mile sprint pace which I’m ok with as a starting point. My regular sprint pace is a sub 6 minute mile pace so can’t wait to be unsore and fully recovered to give a solo sprint workout a go πŸš₯

I did a proper dynamic warm up session which felt great. For those of us who want to get the most out of our sprinting, it’s super important to do the right kind of movements to prime your body to enable a full out sprint effort in order to maximize the movement and health benefits of the exercise.
